Edward Duyker
Edward Duyker (nascut en Melbourne lo 21 de març de 1955) es un escrivan e istorian australian. Son paire es neerlandés e sa maire mauriciana d'una familha francesa emigrada a Maurici al sègle XVIII. Duyker faguèt los estudis superiors a l'Universitat La Trobe e a la de Melbourne (doctorat de letras, 1981). De 1981 a 1983 foguèt un oficièr de las entresenhas militaras (JIO) a Canberra. En 1983 s'establiguèt a Sydney. De 1996 a 2002 foguèt Consul onorari de Maurici en Nòva Galas del Sud. A escrich divèrses libres que contan las expedicions francesas en Austràlia al sègle XVIII e al començament del sègle XIX. Conta tanben l'expedicion de Antòni Bruni d'Entrecastèus e Joan Francés de La Peirosa. En 2007 Edward Duyker foguèt elegit a l'Acadèmia Australiana de las Sciéncias Umanas. De 2009 a 2018 Duyker foguèt dintrèt coma professor onorari a l'Universitat Catolica d'Austràlia e a la de Sydney 2001–2022.
