This page is for users to request, and bureaucrats to consider and carry out, the "usurpation" of usernames. That means renaming an existing dormant local account in order for a user from another project to use it.

If the name you want matches a local account with only a few or non-significant edits, usurpation may be granted. If the name is that of an active user, please see with him or her beforehand.

To add a request, add {{subst:Usurp|Account_name|home wiki}} at the bottom of this page.
Your home wiki is defined by a two letter code (en.wikipedia.org → english; it → italian; zh → chinese; etc.).

It also helps to put a confirmation note on your home talk page (name it ==SUL==).
