John Ingleby (Helygain, País de Galas, 1749 - Helygain, 26 d'agost de 1808) foguèt un pintre e miniaturista galés.
La vida
modificarNasquèt a Helygain en 1749, de parents cornics, dins una fratria de dètz fraires e sòrres.[1]
Al moment de l'inscripcion del decès de l'artista dins los registres parroquials, Ingleby èra un artesan que possedissiá un talhièr que l'especialitat n'èra la pintura d’òbras de pichona dimension. Pintrèt d'aqüarèlas comandadas pel naturalista e amator d'antiquitats Thomas Pennant. Se moriguèt en 1808.[2] [3]
La Bibliotèca nacionala del País de Galas consèrva una colleccion d'aqüarèlas que representa de païsatges del Nòrd de Galas, pintrats per Ingleby.[4];[5];[6]
