Autor de l’estudi The American indian and the media (1991), Notes from indian country (1984) e The aboriginal sin: reflections on the Holy Rosary Indian Mission School (1978). En 2004 se presentèt a las eleccions pel Senat de Dakota dau Sud coma independent en faire campanha per sonhar la diabèta entre lo pòble sioux.
